Denis Ten, Olympic bronze medalist, was stabbed and passed away yesterday (19th July 2018) in Kazakhstan.
We in the anime community know him as the skater who inspired Yuri on Ice’s Otabek Altin, and he himself has embraced the fact. He passed away after being stabbed in the thigh and suffered from blood loss. He was a great skater and it’s such a tragedy to lose him.
We will miss you dearly. Wherever you are, we hope you are happy.
