Tenrou: Sirius the Jaeger Ep. 4 – Beginning of Trickery

Yuliy and Dorothea goes on a trip to hunt vampires while Ryouko and Iba follows.

Then Yuliy smells food—-I mean blood, and then chased after that smell.

This episode mostly follows the supporting cast like Ryouko, the gangsters, the vampires, and Iba. There are many clashes of goals here.

Ryouko’s just there for comic relief, but it was funny how she values the lunch boxes more than her own bag. Ryouko’s crush on Yuliy is treated more of a girlish crush rather than something more complicated. It’s not bad, it’s just that after seeing him murder someone one would think she would have other feelings towards the man too. Her unconditional trust in him after meeting his eyes for five seconds in episode one is just…strange.

this fish.

Oh right, the dinner scene. In the first two episodes, the vampire hunter gang were established as foreigners who can speak Japanese extremely fluently, and now they (except Phillip) can use chopsticks too. Really, there should be an explanation why these guys can achieve such a feat without spending three years in Japan. Welp, mentioning it is better than just forgetting completely that these guys are foreigners.

That cliffhanger.

Okay, one-third through and Sirius is still good. Hope they keep it up for the remaining 8 episodes.

Finally I figured out why I don’t like Ryouko! Her hair is almost the same as Matsuzaki Umi, the protagonist of From Up on Poppy Hill. I’ve always thought she looks a hundred times better with hair down than in those braids. Probably the reason I feel iffy about her is her hair…
